Hello,
Today, I will share with you few methods that you can use to be more productive and joyous in both your education and business life. Since we are at the beginning of autumn, when schools open and business life is the busiest, I thought it would be more beneficial to write about this topic. I also use some of them and see their reflections. But before I started the article, I did some more research and summarized them. You can find the methods in a list below;
1. Taking more visual notes by keeping the paper horizontal.
Tony Buzan explains that the human brain understands visual things easier. In fact, if there is an inclusive working method, this could definitely be one of them. It stays in mind more when you work on the subject by keeping the paper horizontal and dividing it into more shapes and words.
2. Setting alarm while workin/studying.
By setting an alarm you can set small goals for yourself and use the time more consciously. (1)
3. Take short walks /move if you are distracted.
Walking/moving in such times allows you to untie the knotted part of the rope easier since you change the place.(2)
4. Single (as much as needed) screen work.
Working with multiple screens means keeping distractions available. (3)
5. Focusing on things by one by one.
Working with one focus increases creativity. If you need to set an order, you can also sort your things in the order of priority. Thus, you use time more beneficially.(4) While doing this order, asking “Which one of these tasks is the best one to start and reach my goal?” to yourself may help.
6. Similar to the previous method, dividing your work into smaller goals and then adding on.
With this method, the goals will seem more achievable to you. (5)
7. Be kind to yourself when you make a mistake, knowing that you are human.
As a coach, this method seems to me to be the most applicable one. Success, perfection and similar things may differ from person to person. We can only work with what is within our control. That’s why we have to create our own paths that are open to other points of view. (6)
Authenticity is a feature that strengthens the person everywhere , including schools and working places.
8. In addition to the methods above, “What especially makes you feel productive while working / studying?” , ” What makes a thing prior in a list while working/studying? ” and “Which methods suit me best in the light of these?” answer your questions.
While working, solution-oriented open-ended questions both add benefit to your work and make your work routines more joyous. You can also add the of ” What makes working/studying fun?” To your list.
In fact, what I want to say above is that efficient note-taking and working methods are beneficial in countless areas of our lives. Maybe you know and apply these methods already. These methods will always assess you. Who doesn’t want to do more in less time?
Note: Although the source I use seems to be about business life, you can always use these methods whenever you find useful as I wrote above.
